Introducing Katherine

We’ve been working with Katherine and her property development/rental company for over 20 years. Throughout this time, both parties have built a great relationship, giving us an excellent insight into how she likes to work, including her company and property objectives. Such a strong partnership means we’re continually able to meet and exceed her expectations.

As a long-standing customer with experience in working with our sales, commercial and lettings teams, Katherine is extremely well placed to share her experiences of working with us.

Katherine – how did your journey with property begin?

“Previously, directors ran the property development/rental company (it’s a family business), but I never thought I would work with them, as I wanted to be independent. There was a year where they desperately needed help, so I agreed to join them for one year with the intention of leaving. By end of that year, I was hooked.

I now run the company and hope to continue their legacy. Providing forever homes for people is what makes my job so enjoyable.”

Why did you choose Michael Jones?

“The people, by far!

I’ve been working with Hayley (Michael Jones Lettings Director) for over 20 years now. She is friendly, full of knowledge and very professional.

I always feel as though Michael Jones put both their landlords and tenants first. Somehow, they achieve a perfect balance where neither the landlord or tenant feels compromised or in second place.

20 years on, Michael Jones has continued to maintain this personal level of service. I was worried that the personal customer service may be lost when Hayley and the team moved from the Lancing office to Worthing. However, it is completely the same.

I never feel like just a number, and I can see that my tenants are treated just as well.

We also work with the sales and commercial teams as well as lettings, and all the people involved make me feel like I’m the only landlord on your books. When I pop into the office, they all know me by name and welcome me in as if I’m part of the team.”

What’s your favourite thing about being a landlord?

“Watching people build their home. We want our tenants to find somewhere they love to live which makes them happy. Being part of our tenants’ journey to find their forever home is really special to us.”

How would you describe the staff that work at Michael Jones?

“Your staff and personal customer service are what sets you apart.

The whole team are friendly and approachable, which makes me feel at ease, and makes my job far more enjoyable.”

How would you describe Michael Jones as a company?

“The only place to go when you want the job done.”
