It's our 30th anniversary!

2021 marks an important milestone for Michael Jones & Co – it’s officially been 30 years since we opened our first office way back on 13^th May 1991!

On that cool, sunny Monday morning 30 years ago, a 25-year-old Worthing resident called Mike Jones stepped into his brand-new office at 13 Chatsworth Road in Worthing. From that moment on, Michael Jones & Co got off to a promising start, quickly selling its first-ever property at 13 Canterbury Road for £49,500. (Yes, the number 13 cropped up often at the time, so we consider it our lucky number, contrary to age-old superstition.)

Three decades on, and we remain a local, friendly high-street business and one of the largest independent estate agents in the South East – proudly serving tens of thousands of customers across West Sussex and into Hove.

We recently pinned Founder and Group CEO Mike down for a chat about our past, present, and future (we'll be releasing the full interview next week), and he ended by saying:

"I'm keen to continue to grow to meet our client's needs but also to preserve the company's DNA and keep everything personal and family-run – it’s so important. Our heritage and traditions are something we're all very proud of, and we know they’re something we will always stay true to."

Staying so firmly rooted in our hometown for so many years has also allowed our business and team to concentrate our support on the Worthing community by donating to charitable causes and sponsoring local people and organisations. To mark our 30-year anniversary, we want to continue by supporting three new local charity partners: Care for Veterans, AudioActive, and Wadars Animal Rescue.
