Michael Jones' Macmillan Coffee Morning Raises Over £500

On Friday 24th September, all six of our branches came together to host a fantastic coffee morning and cake sale in honour of Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ movement.

Each branch was inundated with visitors from their local community and after a successful morning, we raised over £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which we hope will help in some small way with the fantastic work they do for people living with cancer   

The coffee morning also gave us the perfect excuse to have our own fun in the office. Inspired by the return of the Great British Bake Off, it was only right that we held our own Michael Jones baking competition in its honour to discover who would be crowned Michael Jones’s greatest baker!

The team raised the bar this year, with a wide variety of tasty treats on offer including homemade chocolate cupcakes, everyone’s favourite Victoria sponge, and of course a few trays of delicious rocky roads.

After much tasting (it was a hard job, but someone had to do it!) it was decreed that Joe Hammond from our Lancing office was the winner. He took the top spot with a scrumptious array of vanilla cupcakes with carefully chosen toppers showcasing the Michael Jones logo and the Lancing team members' headshots.Well done Joe!
