This November, a team from Michael Jones donned their running shoes and clocked up the miles; pledging their support for the Race for Remembrance, a fundraising initiative from one of our 30-year celebration charity partners, ‘Care for Veterans’.

Perfect for the whole community to get involved in, Race for Remembrance honours those who we’ve lost by supporting those veterans still in need of care today. You could choose to run or walk 11k (or you can cover 11 miles or choose another challenge based on the number 11 e.g., 11,000 steps a day for 11 days) anytime during November 2021.

Every penny helps, especially since fundraising activities have been fewer and far between the usual in the last eighteen months. All sponsorship raised will be gratefully received and will go directly to Care for Veterans.

Your contribution will mean they can continue to provide a high standard of care and rehabilitation which makes a huge difference to the physically disabled veterans they support.

Once you completed the challenge – as well as feeling an immense sense of achievement and pride – you also received a certificate and a Race for Remembrance 2021 medal.

As a local company, we feel it’s important to get involved and help support local charities such as Care for Veterans. The Race for Remembrance is a brilliant opportunity for us to show our support and raise money for a fantastic cause while also having a bit of fun as a team and keeping us healthy in the lead up to Christmas!”
