Angela grew up in Goring and went to Ferring Primary School as a child. She has always loved Ferring for the variety of local walks right on her doorstep; from Goring Gap, green space by the sea, to The Ilex a quirky open space lined by arches of trees from Sea Lane in Goring through to Sea Lane in Ferring. Plus, Ferring Beach itself and Highdown Gardens which showcases chalkland gardens and rare plants – all especially useful for Brian, Angela’s energetic Bichon Frise.
Andalucía Restaurant and Bar in Ferring Village is a family favourite for Angela as they offer a authentic Spanish Tapas food, The Henty Arms pub (which is dog friendly) is always welcoming and for a more relaxed day time treat; coffee and a bite to eat with her teenage daughters at Kingsley’s Café is superb.
Ferring is a charming and historic village situated to the west of Worthing Town. It lies on the South Coast and boasts a large seafront and pebble beach which is also home to the ever-popular Blue Bird Cafe. Ferring has a bustling village centre with a variety of independent shops which includes the local Post Office, a family run butchers and Delicatessen, as well as a Co-op. At the village centre sits St Andrews Church which is steeped in history being one of the oldest churches in Sussex.
Ferring is extremely accessible by road routes; it’s within a short reach of the A27 and A24, and many local bus routes including the 700 bus which travels from Littlehampton along the coast to Brighton.
