Our Findon team love working in an area of outstanding natural beauty which is steeped in history and the local village feel means that we enjoy a close knit community. We have a broad local knowledge of all the areas that we cover which includes Findon Village, Findon Valley, High Salvington and the surrounding areas, including Nepcote.
Peter, his wife, children and their very boisterous cockapoo enjoy Findon and the surrounding areas and make the very most of having beautiful Downland countryside on the doorstep. After a walk on The Gallops and up to Cissbury Ring, the whole family enjoys a lovely Sunday lunch. The four pubs in the village, The Gun, The Village House, the Black Horse and the Snooty Fox all offer wonderful food and a great selection of ales and gins amongst other beverages. The Findon Manor Hotel is in a beautiful and picturesque setting and is a favourite for weddings. The restaurant is of a great standard too.
High Salvington boasts a stunning working Windmill that you can visit on the open day once a month during the summer. There are also lovely walks across the Downland National Park just a stone’s throw away.
Findon is a charming Downland village in the Arun district of West Sussex situated four miles north of Worthing. It lies between two hills, Cissbury with its Iron Age hill fort to the east and Church Hill to the West.
The popular residential area of Findon Valley lies to the south of Findon Village and enjoys a bustling shopping parade with a good selection of well supported shops as well as a nearby doctor’s surgery, library, churches and vets. The Gallops, is a large public open space with playground and there are many lovely walks and bridle paths within our area with the added pleasure of spectacular Downland views.
High Salvington is also a prime residential area and has a landmark windmill which has been restored to working condition over the last 30 years which is open to the public. Findon also includes the hamlet of Nepcote which is the venue for the annual Findon Sheep Fair in September, an event which dates from the 1780’s.
There is a parish church in Findon Village and St John the Baptist school which is a small primary school situated on School Hill with a Good Ofsted rating.
If you enjoy good food and a wide selection of wines and ales, there are four public houses (The Gun Inn, The Black Horse, The Village House and The Snooty Fox) all located in the High Street where you will receive a warm welcome.
There is a very strong sense of community within the village and it boasts many annual events, including a fireworks display and May Day celebrations.

Great professional service from every Michael Jones staff member we met during our house search. Rachel… More at the Findon office went to great lengths to keep our chain together and moving forward. Many thanks.
I cannot praise Michael Jones too highly. I chose them over another company in the first place because… More they were not pushy, and were content to wait until I was in a position to put the house on the market without harassing me. Thereafter they were so efficient, always helpful, and maintained a great level of communication. I had dealings with three different members of staff, all of whom were excellent. And their pricing for their services was extremely competitive. Full marks!
Professional and very kind from start to finish. The move was a protracted one for quite a few reasons… More but all the staff at Michael Jones made us believe we were the only clients they had! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they kept us up to date with the progress of the move at every stage. We can't thank them enough.
