According to Neil, nothing is more rewarding than refueling at the Sea Lane café after a long run and he can highly recommend their wide range of homemade cakes!
Goring-by-Sea is a borough of Worthing, West Sussex. We have an excellent range of local shopping facilities and restaurants as well as a superb beach which is popular for windsurfing and kite surfing.
There are also seafront cafes, a yacht club and Goring Greensward which is ideal for picnics, ball games and barbecues or just sitting and relaxing, watching the world go by.
Goring-by-Sea is also home to the English Martyrs Catholic Church which features the only known reproduction of the Sistine Chapel Ceiling in the world. The work was started by Gary Bevans, a sign writer parishioner with no formal training in 1987 after a parish pilgrimage to Rome.
The Goring-by-Sea railway station is also thought to have been the inspiration for the name of the character, Lord Goring, in Oscar Wilde’s play ‘An Ideal Husband’, as he lived in Worthing during the late 1800’s.
