Merger Announcement Michael Jones welcomes Bacon and Company Lancing

Effective from 1st November, Michael Jones are delighted to announce that Bacon and Company’s entire lettings business and also their sales operation in Lancing have been incorporated into the broader Michael Jones and Company operation, the Bacon and Co lettings business and also joint sales business in Lancing will trade as ‘Michael Jones & Bacon’ which will be led by Mike Jones and new directors and shareholders in the business Glen Bacon and Hayley Scammell.

This collaborative move will enable our two businesses to work together and further enhance our service offerings as well as meeting our conjoined customers’ property requirements.

Managing Director Mike Jones said: “Michael Jones continue to be a leading broad-based property brand, who have been selling and letting properties in West Sussex for more than 28 years, and with this merger we will become one of the larger independent lettings agent in the county. This is a real game-changer for us as it puts us close to reaching our initial target of two thousand properties under management; and further establishes the company as leading lettings agent in our all locations

Mike added: “Bacon and Company share the same ethos and values as we do, as well as holding strong community links which we want to continue to build on. We are looking forward to combining our knowledge and expertise and creating an environment our clients and staff want to be a part of.”

The main highlights: 

• All staff are being retained in their current roles, so you will continue to work with the same people you did before, whether that was within Michael Jones or Bacon and Company.

• All the existing agreements and pricing structures remain the same and will not be changing during this merger.

• All the services you have received in the past will continue to be offered by our combined firm.

 

The Bacon and Company Lancing sales team will be moving to the Michael Jones Lancing office while the Bacon and Company dedicated Lettings team will remain in their current office, with both offices rebranded ‘Michael Jones & Bacon’ in due course. All the contact information for Michael Jones will remain the same and can be found here.

The Bacon and Company sales offices in Worthing, Broadwater and Goring will remain separate from the merger, and will continue under David Hughes and Wayne Kenward.

    This is not about Michael Jones but one of their employee, Rob Stewards . Shout out you man and well done for the great service . Much appreciated. Keep it up . Rob was in charge of sorting thing out between my last landlord and myself … More at the end of the tenancy and helping return my deposit . For everyone renting , you know how it is always trying to get that money back. The landlords are always trying to make up stories in order to hold a chunk of your money . I cannot thank Rob enough for his outstanding wisdom in helping us to reach an agreement and avoiding dispute resolution . Although in the middle of the case , Rob went on holiday and things were not resolved as one of his colleague or rather manager tried .
