One hundredth sale completed at Bayside Apartments

Our journey with Bayside Apartments started over three years ago when demolition of the old Aquarena site began in November 2017 and although time has flown, so much has happened since then.

Extreme weather in the form of the ‘Beast from the East’ challenged the construction team with record breaking icy conditions in March 2018, which was swiftly followed by soaring temperatures throughout July. The team however soldiered on and managed to stay on track with the building schedule, completing the huge basement by the middle of May 2019 which allowed the main structure of the Vista tower to start rising up into the Worthing skyline.

This also marked a milestone of 60% of the properties sold off-plan almost two years before completion. The highest point of the building was reached in October 2019 which was celebrated by a traditional topping out ceremony where the first couple to exchange contracts on their property were invited to lay the final section of concrete on the fifteenth floor of the building.

It has been an exceptional journey but none of us could have predicted the events of the last year which has challenged us all in the form of a global pandemic. Safe working at the site has continued though and against all odds, the one hundredth off-plan sale at Bayside was achieved in January 2021.

With so many of us stuck at home for various reasons including home schooling, working from home or being unable to leave the house due to health restrictions, outside space has become a huge priority for people seeking property and we have seen a vast increase in demand for properties with gardens, terraces and balconies.

There are currently twenty available properties remaining at the Bayside development, all with balconies or outside space to enjoy the uninterrupted sea views and of course, direct access to the beach and Worthing’s historic promenade. Following Covid-19 safety guidelines and procedures, the properties are available to view now and the first residents will be enjoying their new, luxury coastal homes by the end of March.

All apartments will also offer access to a private health club featuring a gym, pool, sauna and steam room as well as a resident’s lounge and landscaped courtyard to relax in. The development will also feature a new seafront square with a café situated on the promenade.
