Welcome to our May Company Update

It has been a busy month for us here at Michael Jones with many charity, social and property events. From golf days to charity balls and a property market update, May has been an all-encompassing month. Moreover, we dip into June for a moment to celebrate the Queens Jubilee – a great way to kick the next month off.
About Darren
I had an amazing time helping people move in Findon and was given an amazing opportunity to run the Goring branch, swapping The South Downs for the beach.
Why do I love Goring? I love the diverse mix of properties the area has to offer from flats to mansions and period properties to new. I love Marine Gardens & Sea Lane Café for coffee or a bite to eat, for shopping the very comprehensive Goring Road shopping parade. The joy of working so close to Goring’s beautiful Seafront and Greesnward.
Property News
Whilst Zoopla reports instructions are on the rise, 7% above the five-year average, the level of demand continues to outweigh the supply. The property market remains a sellers’ market that high levels of buyer demand mean that the market is still moving quickly, and properties are selling rapidly for fantastic prices.
I hope the rising supply of new properties coming to market gives potential vendors who are apprehensive about selling due to not being able to find their next home, some peace of mind that the market is beginning to show signs of levelling out. Furthermore, here at Michael Jones when you sell your property with us, we will support you on your search for your next dream home, providing you with priority access to properties listed with us before they are marketed to all buyers.
In the Community
At the end of last month, our teams took part in the Care for Veterans Golf Day, which as always was thoroughly enjoyed by all and raised a fantastic sum of £11,500. At the end of this month, this worthwhile charity also saw us hold a Cake Sale across our offices, with the Worthing office having two veterans in attendance – another great day of fundraising.
Our teams also had the chance to get dressed up for the annual Worthing District Estate Agent’s Association Ball. An event that saw all the agents in Worthing come together for an evening of festivity, food, and fundraising with a total of £685 being raised for Chestnut Tree House.
As we all know the Queens Platinum Jubilee is coming up and while it is an opportunity for some time off it is also time to come together as a nation and community. Here at Michael Jones, we are celebrating by having a good old-fashioned British tea party, with cakes and pastries supplied by local bakery The Flour Pot.
I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend and have a good rest of June.
