Located off the beautiful tree-lined Parklands Avenue in Goring-By-Sea, the property and its grounds are steeped in history dating back to 1906, when Paul Schweder, an ex-army officer transformed the land into the outstanding mansion house. The property is full of original features including a Rococo style French drawing room known as the ‘Gold Room’, and a beautiful glass dome in the grand entrance hall. During the war, Courtlands was the headquarters of the Canadian 1st Army and in 1945 the house was bought by Worthing Hospital for post-operative recovery. Following conversion work it was first used in 1948 under the NHS, and in 1951 – it was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth (then Princess). It remained a hospital until 1973 when it was then used as an administrative headquarters for the Area Health Authority. In 1998, Courtlands was bought by Bond International Software Plc and £1.4m was spent on the refurbishment and conversion into office facilities.

Steve Berrett, Director at Michael Jones said: “We are pleased to have been instructed to sell this outstanding property on behalf on Bond International Software, while supporting their vision to move the business forward. This presents an outstanding investment opportunity and we strongly advise anyone interested in viewing the property to get in touch as soon as possible.”
