Introducing our new charity partners for 2021/22!

Staying firmly rooted in our hometown for so many years has allowed us to concentrate our support on the Worthing community by donating to charitable causes and sponsoring local people and organisations.

In celebration of our 30th anniversary we want to continue that tradition – but take it further. So, we’ve pledged to donate £10,000 across three fantastic local organisations: Care for Veterans, AudioActive and Wadars, Animal Rescue.

We can’t wait to get involved in fundraising and volunteering our time over the next year and we’ll let you know how you can get involved too – whether it’s helping to raise funds, making a donation or simply sharing social posts to spread the word.

Who are these three brilliant charities and what do they offer our community?
Read on to find out…

Care For Veterans

Local charity Care for Veterans is very close to the heart of our Founder and Group CEO, Mike Jones, a long-standing member of their Fundraising Board. For over 100 years, ex-servicemen and women from the RAF, Army, Royal Navy and auxiliary services with life-changing disabilities have received excellent long-term nursing, rehabilitation, respite and award-winning end of life care. We look forward to helping support the much-needed work they do in our community and caring for those who have given so much in the line of duty.

AudioActive is building a music development and social innovation hub in Worthing town centre, and we’re incredibly excited to be able to support them in their brand-new venture! They’re a ground-breaking music organisation whose charitable work involves giving young people the space and support for creative expression and talent development regardless of their wealth or background. Our donation will help towards the building of their new music production suite and equipment. They will be located at the old Dorothy Perkins store in Worthing and are due to open in the early part of 2022.

Wadars, Animal Rescue

Wadars Animal Rescue is an animal welfare charity based in Ferring. Wadars rescues and rehomes around 400 cats, dogs and other companion animals every year. They work tirelessly to provide rehabilitation of wild animal casualties and their integration back into their natural environment plus a mobile animal rescue service, responding to distressed, injured and displaced animals in your community. Last year alone, Wadars helped more than 2,600 wild animals. Supported by more than 150 volunteers, it costs over £1,300 every day to continue this work and Wadars is almost totally reliant on donations, fundraising and legacies from the community. Plans for the future include a purpose-built wildlife unit, aviaries, kennels and a training and education centre – a future we’re keen to help them achieve!

We have just sold our house through Michael Jones with Dominic acting as our agent. We had excellent service, were kept up to date with progress, all questions answered promptly and the Dominic was regularly in touch with the buyer, particularly … More as his solicicitor was very slow and on one occasion unproffessional, which moved the sale along. Very happy overall and would throughly recommend Dominic and Michael Jones.
