New Homes Market Update     

The new homes market has experienced record levels of demand over the last year. Similar to the wider housing market, demand has been fuelled by a continued shortage of stock available to meet the demand, as well as consumers shifting their property aspirations post lockdown. With many buyers looking to relocate outside of busy city centres to be closer to open space, we have seen our new homes sales increase by 50% in the first half of 2021 compared to 2020.


The Conservative Government elected in 2017 had a manifesto pledge to meet the 2015 commitment to deliver 1 million homes by the end of 2020 and to “deliver half a million more by the end of 2022.” It has been clear for some time that the housing supply is not keeping up with demand.


We work with an array of fantastic developers, from Roffey Homes, who have built over fifty exclusive developments across the South Coast since 1960, to ambitious first-time developers. The passion to provide prestigious new homes for Sussex unites our developers and ensures the quality of new build properties we bring to market are second to none.


We have plenty of new homes coming to market, as well as a couple of our developments reaching full capacity.


Bayside is soon approaching completion, with the majority of residents comfortably moved in, and able to call Bayside home. On the other end of the spectrum, the foundations have been laid at Tate in Hove, we are excited to watch as this development starts to take shape. The development, due for completion in early 2023, is designed to provide residents with specifications that exceed expectations, featuring a communal residents’ terrace overlooking the cricket ground, it is no surprise that off-plan sales have reached an impressive 90%.


This phenomenal level of interest highlights the demand for luxury coastal accommodation and demonstrates the popularity of the South Coast as a desirable place to live.
